I love this—for whatever reason, you tend to see a lot of photos of NYC shot from the opposite perspective (looking north, rather than south). If you’re in NYC and want a REALLY great view, I’d recommend Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center) over the Empire State building—Top of the Rock gives you a view of Uptown Manhattan and Central Park.
There’s also something about how small it looks…all of those mighty towers…the culmination of millennia of knowledge…from a little ways up and out are just bit of texture on the landscape.
The best view is to ride the Staten Island Ferry back and forth.
Tell me how most of The Bronx is blurred out though -_- even though it’s right there in the foreground.
